Review-

I am a huge Rebecca Zanetti fan. I have read her Sins Brothers series and those ones were so exciting and action packed. I'm still hoping there's a spin off to it. In the meanwhile, she has a new series called the Scorpious Syndrome. The first book in the series is called Mercury Striking and I requested it off of Netgalley and luckily go accepted for it. Mercury Striking is a novel set in dystopian times. There's lots of action and hot romance so overall it was a great combination which made for a unique read.

Jax Mercury is our hero. In these difficult time he has come through. He's ex army so he knows how to survive. Jax together with a group of people live together in Los Angeles and they are trying every day to make it. Jax was a difficult man to like. He was hard and stubborn but he cared about his people even if he didn't want the role as a leader.

Then we have Lynn. Lynn is actually a brilliant scientist who has a blue heart. Literally. She with her partner Nora actually accidentally created the virus which became uncontrollable and led to the destruction of the world. Lynn was a really sweet heroine. She goes to Jax for help because she has so much against her. I really liked Lynn.

I found it super interesting how the virus was affecting humans and could be cured by vitamin B which the human body was not producing by itself. With so much chaos the connection Lynn and Jax make felt even more intense. I loved their chemistry and how they always knew nothing real could happen between them in times like this. But they still made it.

I also really liked all the supporting characters we got to meet and I am especially excited for the next couple's book. I am actually a bit scared to get attached to anyone in this series cause Miss. Zanetti has a tendency to kill off anyone at any time. But with the conspiracies brewing there may be some hope. I enjoyed Mercury Striking.

*Note: A copy of this book was provided by the author/publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. We thank them.
